I am a public historian and former museum professional who now supports faculty in undertaking public engagement projects that are grounded in mutual trust, reciprocity, and empathy.
Expanding the Utility and Impact of the Michigan Public Engagement Framework
Goal: We will write a scholarly paper and develop effective explainer/practice tool, such as a toolkit, to promote understanding and adoption of a framework that describes similarities and differences across public engagement at a systems-level.
Aspirations for Impact: This project aims to better enable researchers and practitioners to situate themselves in a larger public engagement ecosystem, recognize similarities and differences of their work relative to others', and drive interdisciplinary collaboration for new, innovative research impacts.
