Broader Impacts: Coming of Age:
This presentation will discuss the maturing of broader impacts from the researcher and community perspective and introduce the newly funded Center for Advancing Research Impact in Society (ARIS). In addition to a “view-from-the-trenches” look at broader impacts, we will discuss the resources for researchers, practitioners, and institutions provided by ARIS; as well as its new initiatives for broadening participation of persons with disabilities in STEM and building institutional support infrastructure for broader impacts. In addition, several broader impacts tools will be highlighted including the Broader Impacts Wizard and SciLinkR.
