At St. John Fisher College, a small, private college in Rochester, NY, our Center for Student Research and Creative Work was founded in 2016. The Center values, supports, and celebrates student scholarly work across all disciplines that leads to dynamic graduates able to creatively solve complex problems in diverse local and global workplaces.
Our Summer Fellows Research Program for undergraduates is 10-weeks long and includes professional development for both students and mentors, training in responsible conduct of research, a focused component on career readiness, and a special "Scholarly Publishing" module run by our librarians. Students, faculty, and staff celebrate at our annual Student Research and Creative Work Symposium. In just four years since the event began, we have had 800+ students present!
